Let’s clear something up: strength training is absolutely safe for middle school athletes—when it’s done right. In fact, not only is it safe, it’s one of the best things you can do to support their physical development, movement quality, and long-term athletic success.
There’s a big myth that kids shouldn’t lift weights until high school. That’s outdated. What kids shouldn’t do is lift weights without proper instruction and that’s where our program comes in.
At Power & Pride Strength & Speed Camp, we don’t just teach kids how to get stronger we teach them how to move well. That includes:
Bodyweight mastery (push-ups, squats, planks)
Learning how to hinge, jump, and land
Building posture, coordination, and total-body awareness
When athletes understand the basics of strength training early, they:
Prevent future injuries
Develop confidence in movement
Build habits that transfer to every sport they play
We focus on age-appropriate progressions that match where the athlete is, not where we want them to be. We’d rather have someone leave camp excited to train, confident in their form, and stronger than when they started… not burned out or overwhelmed.
Strength training is for every kid who wants to move, play, and perform better!
Registration is now open for Summer 2025!📅 Camp Dates: July 7 – July 25, 2025⏰ 3 hours/day of expert coaching, fun, and real results
